ATLANTA — By 2025, 75% of the workforce will be the millennial generation. There is a major push to attract the most talented millennials to Atlanta, to work and build their lives. The Metro Atlanta Chamber has collaborated with businesses across the region to create an initiative called “Choose ATL,” to help showcase the city to the generation that will lead us into the future.
One of the big initiatives of “Choose ATL” is The Ultimate Job Interview. The contest started with 135 entries from students and professionals from all across the country. Channel 2 Action News anchor Fred Blankenship follows the three candidates who made it to the final round as they prepare to give their pitch to win the ultimate job interview.
Finalists Nicole Smith, Gayla Robbins and AJ Wilson were treated to three days in Atlanta meeting with top leaders, including Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, competing in challenges and preparing for the presentation and interview of their lives.
The program takes a look at why the millennial generation is so important to the city of Atlanta. Channel 2's Fred Blankenship takes an in-depth look at the critical mission to bring millennials to Atlanta to keep the city’s economy strong into the future.
