COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County church is giving everyone an early Christmas gift: Free gas.
The Linked UP Church in Powder Springs is hosting a “gas give-away” beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday.
“Join us as we celebrate CHRISTmas and spread some holiday cheer this season,” the church said.
The church will be giving out $10,000 worth of gas. It wants to emphasize that this event is first-come, first-serve.

The location is 4331 Brownsville Road in Powder Springs.
The latest information from AAA puts the average for a gallon of regular in the metro area at $3.18 per gallon.
The price is up $2.15 compared to this time last year.
Cherokee County has some of the lowest prices in the area at $3.09 for a gallon of regular according to AAA.
Fulton County has some of the highest prices at $3.33 for a gallon of regular.
