ATLANTA — The Georgia State Patrol says it is investigating two car crashes that happened early Wednesday morning on Interstate 75 northbound.
At around 6 a.m., GSP says a Cobb County police car struck the back of a Chevrolet Silverado near the Howell Mill exit. Then, as officials worked to clear the crash, a GDOT truck on the scene to assist was struck by a Honda.
After impact, the GDOT truck arrived on the scene and shut the two left lanes down to divert traffic.

The Honda struck the HERO unit with its driver’s side, which caused the Honda to rotate counterclockwise while continuing north between the first and second lanes.
The Honda also struck the passenger side of the Cobb police car and the Silverado with its rear, causing the passenger of the Honda to be thrown from the car, according to the GSP.
