ATLANTA — On Sunday, people all over metro Atlanta got together to talk about the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre, a massacre that changed the face of Atlanta, forever.
Channel 2′s Karyn Greer spoke with Adria Kitchens, the Director of Equity and Activism at Out of Hand Theater created this equitable dinner.

Cities around the country continue to look at ways to have the difficult discussions about race and equity in America.
One of the community partners in this effort is the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is a founding member of this organization.

Event organizers said these conversations will continue to happen all week in hopes that what happened in 1906 doesn’t happen again.
