Here’s where Georgia counties stand on their hand recount of the presidential election

ATLANTA — Last week, Georgia’s Secretary of State ordered all counties to do a hand recount of their ballots for the presidential election in Georgia.

The recount of the more than 5 million votes has to be completed before Georgia certifies its election results on Friday. The Secretary of State gave all counties a deadline of midnight Wednesday.

Many counties started this past Friday or Saturday and have been counting through the weekend.

Here’s where each county stands on its recount:

Cherokee County: Completed

Clayton County: Completed

Cobb County: Completed

Coweta County: Completed

DeKalb County: Completed

Douglas County: Expects to finish by Wednesday

Forsyth County: Completed

Floyd County: Completed. Found that 2,600 votes missed during initial election day count. More details here.

Fulton County: Completed

Gwinnett County: Plans to complete hand count Wednesday

Hall County: Completed. About 150 ballots still need to be adjudicated later this week.

Henry County: Completed

Paulding County: Completed

Walton County: Completed
