ATLANTA — Police are working to find two masked robbers who attacked a couple and shot one victim outside an Atlanta high-rise apartment.
Police tell Channel 2's Audrey Washington the shooting happened outside Peachtree Towers Condominium on Peachtree Street around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say a couple was walking back to their apartment when two men approached and demanded cash. They tried to run and that's when the suspects opened fire, hitting the man twice, in the leg and hip. He's recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital. The woman wasn't harmed.
Police are combing through surveillance video to try to identify the suspects.

A witness who didn't want to be identified told Washington he heard the attack as it happened outside the luxury highrise.
“I was in my room when I heard a glass breaking and my roommate heard five shots outside his room," the witness said, "So I come downstairs, I look down the lobby and I saw blood, blood on the elevator.”
Police say the men were wearing dark hoodies and masks.
They believe the robbers got away in an older model white Nissan Frontier truck.
The attack comes after another armed robbery outside the Skyhouse Apartments in Buckhead last week. Police did not say whether the two robberies were related.
