The missing Clark Atlanta senior was the subject of a weeklong search before her body was eventually discovered on Nov. 8, AJC.com previously reported. Jones and Brantley were linked to the crime and arrested.

Atlanta police Detective Mike Young testified in November that Brantley told police he choked Crawford after she and Jones got into a fight on Halloween morning.

“He admitted to choking Ms. Crawford,” Young said during a hearing in Fulton County Magistrate Court. “While he was choking Ms. Crawford, Ms. Jones put a plastic bag over her head.”

Evidence also indicated Brantley sexually assaulted Crawford days earlier, which led to his sodomy charge.

Both Jones and Brantley remain held at the Fulton County Jail without bond, records show.
