I-20 WB reopens after pedestrian hit, killed near downtown connector

ATLANTA — Atlanta Police have reopened Interstate 20 westbound after they investigated a fatal pedestrian crash in downtown Atlanta.

Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields reported on the crash and delays live on Channel 2 Action News This Morning.

It happened just before 6 a.m. on Wednesday near Windsor Street and Capitol Avenue as the morning traffic rush began to get busy.

NewsChopper 2 spotted officers diverting traffic from I-20 onto the I-75/I-85 downtown connector. The road reopened at 8:53 a.m.
