ATLANTA — The first Monday of the official summer season turned out to be a stormy one across north Georgia.
Storms have popped up across metro Atlanta and north Georgia, following a day extreme heat.
On top of the pop up storms Monday afternoon, temperatures reached the low 90s with high levels of humidity.
"When you factor in the humidity, it will feel near 100 degrees," said Severe Weather Team 2's Brian Monahan.
That same pattern will stick around for most of the week, Monahan said.
