ATLANTA — Police say one person is dead after they were hit and killed by a car on the downtown connector.
The Interstate in now back open after the person was hit near the 17th Street exit.

Triple Team Traffic said the backup was as far back as I-20 from the incident.
Investigators had the connector down to two lanes for at least two hours Monday afternoon while they investigated.
