ATLANTA — Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred in southwest Atlanta.

Atlanta Police Department said at 4:13 a.m. on Saturday officers were called near the area of Oglethorpe Avenue in regard to a car accident.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found a BMW 325i off the roadway and against a tree.

Officials said firefighters had to extract the driver, a 25-year-old man, from the car.
According to Atlanta investigators, the driver was speeding when he lost control of his car and hit an unoccupied parked vehicle and a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s identity has not been released.
