ATLANTA, Ga. — Atlanta police returned Monday to the spot where someone shot and killed 13-year-old Deshon DuBose.

It happened Saturday night outside the popular Cascade Family Skating venue in Southwest Atlanta.

“In a perfect world, this wouldn’t happen. In a perfect world he’d still be around,” said Edward Andrew Botchwey, a senior at Drew Charter School in Southeast Atlanta where DuBose attended.

Botchwey told Channel 2′s Audrey Washington the school is feeling the loss.

“It’s just heartbreaking to see someone who you knew, not be in class anymore,” Botchwey explained.

At an Atlanta City Council meeting Monday, residents voiced their frustration with recent shootings involving kids and teens.

There is now a motion to change the city’s curfew from 11 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“These kids are shooting guns early and they dying way too early,” yelled one resident.
