ATLANTA — Falcons owner Arthur Blank missed Sunday’s game because he has tested positive for COVID-19.
It’s the first time Blank didn’t see a Falcons game in-person since he became owner of the team.

Blank bought the team in February 2002.

The Falcons said in a statement he would watch the regular-season finale vs. New Orleans from home. The Falcons lost, 30-20.

“Blank is doing well and is in great spirits, experiencing only mild symptoms at this time,” team officials said. “Blank is fully vaccinated and has received his booster shot, and encourages others to do so.”
The entire Falcons team is also vaccinated and Mercedes-Benz Stadium has been used as a vaccination site.
