ATLANTA — The family of a grandmother who was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting Tuesday night are calling for justice in her death.
Lashunder Shree Edge, 63, was walking into a convenience store on Jonesboro Road in southeast Atlanta to buy a lottery ticket when bullets started flying. At least one of the bullets hit her in the head.
Edge’s sister told Channel 2′s Tom Regan that her sister had a thriving career as a chef at several restaurants around Atlanta.

Smith says she would like to see a more active police presence in the neighborhood surrounding the store where her sister was shot because she says it’s been the scene of violence in the past as well.
“We are hoping it eventually closes down. We want it out of the community completely,” Smith said.
