FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Some Georgia shoppers can’t go back to Costco anymore because they violated the store’s mask policy.

The store in Cumming called police to escort Cory Wayland and his son away because his 18-year-old son was not wearing a mask.

Police said Wayland resisted and officers detained him briefly and cited for disorderly conduct. It was not for refusing to wear a mask.

TRENDING STORIES:

Officers on the scene said both Wayland and his son were yelling and screaming obscenities and tried to get other customers involved.

Both eventually got a warning and were banned from the store.

Costco has a strict mask policy:

“Members and guests must wear a face mask that covers their mouth and nose at all times. Individuals who are unable to wear a face mask due to a medical condition must wear a face shield. Children under the age of 2 are exempt. Entry to Costco will be granted only to those wearing a face mask or face shield.”
