FBI says man accused of sex trafficking 14-year-old girl may be in Atlanta

ATLANTA — The Federal Bureau of Investigation said a man accused of trafficking a 14-year-old girl with developmental delays may be in the Atlanta area.

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Charles William Dexter III, 40.

Investigators said Dexter snatched the teen from a school bus stop in Minneapolis last month.

Court documents say that between Aug. 12 and 14, he recruited the teen and advertised her to engage in a commercial sex act.

He has been on the run ever since, and authorities have reason to believe he is in Atlanta.

Authorities have federal warrants to arrest Dexter on charges of sex trafficking a minor.

Dexter is described as 5 foot 9 inches and around 190 pounds. He has a large tattoo of a cross on one arm.
