ATLANTA — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is searching for an armed robbery suspect believed to be in metro Atlanta.
The agency says Quantavius DeShawn Murphy, who is originally from Georgia, is wanted in connection with an armed robbery of an armored truck at a South Carolina bank.
The FBI said Murphy was a member of a crew it says robbed an armored Garda Truck at a Charleston Bank of America on Jan. 16. Murphy, who goes by the alias “Popeye,” is believed to be a member or associate of the Folk Nation gang.

Investigators believe Murphy is armed and in possession of a large portion of the money stolen from the truck.
Murphy is wanted on charges of bank larceny and conspiracy to commit bank larceny. He’s described as having brown eyes and brown hair. He’s 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to Murphy’s arrest.
