ATLANTA — The final four defendants charged in the sweeping YSL gang racketeering case will head to trial in February.
Shannon Jackson, who also goes by Shannon Stillwell, is expected to walk right to be released on Tuesday, but his codefendant, Deamonte Kendrick, who raps under the name Yak Gotti, is going to remain in jail.
Tuesday’s court appearance was the first time he was back at the courthouse since a jury acquitted him of gang and murder charges in the YSL RICO case.
The 32-year-old came to court to ask for a bond for the additional charges he picked up while behind bars during the trial.
But his plan to head home Tuesday was put on hold after the judge revealed that he has an outstanding warrant. Right now, it’s unclear where the warrant was issued.

What started as a sweeping indictment against 28 defendants, including hip-hop superstar Young Thug, is now down to four after Miles Farley, who once faced a murder charge, entered an Alford Plea to violating the state’s RICO Act.
In this type of plea, the defendant does not admit to being guilty but acknowledges that it’s in their best interest to enter the plea. The judge sentenced him to five years’ probation.
Finally, two weeks after a jury acquitted Jackson of gang and murder charges, the 32-year-old father of four resolved his remaining drug, gun and theft charges as part of a negotiated plea with prosecutors.
The judge sentenced him to time served plus 12 years probation.
“You’re 32 years old. I could say to you, based on what I’ve seen, the next time you get a felony conviction, you’re going to be looking at a lot of years and nobody is going to say yes to probation,” the judge told Jackson on Tuesday.
