ATLANTA — Several nonprofit organizations and volunteer groups are working to help people who don’t have access to transportation get to the polls on election day.
Many organizations are offering discounted and free rides on rideshare apps and at least one metro Atlanta non-profit is sending out a fleet of vans to pick people up.
The Blank Family of Business is offering a $40 rideshare credit for up to two Lyft rides to all polling locations in Georgia on January 5. Riders can use promo code BFOBVOTES on the Lyft app. According to the Arthur Blank Foundation, the rides are available to anyone regardless of party.
