ATLANTA — Leaders in Georgia’s Republican party have expelled former Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan.
The party’s Executive Committee unanimously voted Duncan out on Monday, according to a statement.

The resolution states that Duncan is “banned from all property owned or leased by the Georgia Republican Party” and can’t attend events “held by or under the authority of the Georgia Republican Party.” The full resolution can be read here.
Duncan reacted to his expulsion on X on Monday night.
“Hard to believe this is a good use of time for a party that’s only got a limited amount of time to figure out mass deportations, world peace, and global tariffs. Learn how to take a victory lap not light another dumpster fire.”
Duncan has been an outspoken critic of President-elect Donald Trump and spoke at the Democratic National Convention.
Back in August, Georgia GOP chair Josh McKoon said he thinks Duncan is selling out to the Democrats.
“Geoff Duncan is no longer a Republican. Geoff Duncan clearly decided to join with the Democratic Party, and particularly extreme elements of the Democratic Party,” McKoon told Channel 2 Action News in August.
But Duncan has insisted that he’s still a Republican trying to save his own party from Trump.
