ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has learned that Gleaton Jones, a former walk-on for the University of Georgia Bulldogs, has died following a serious car wreck.
Jones, from Albany, died Friday according to a short obituary posted to Mathews Funeral Home in Albany.
Jones played for the Dawgs during the 2021 season.
According to his biography on his UGA roster, Jones was a graduate of Deerfield-Windsor School and majored in marketing.
On the Facebook page of the family’s church, it said the Jones suffered a brain injury from the wreck and it was holding a prayer service for the family.
