ATLANTA — Friends and family gathered for a vigil in honor of Bridget Shiel, a 19-year-old woman found murdered in Atlanta.

After days of searching Channel 2 Action News was able to track down Shiel's last Snapchat post captioned "Too pretty to be walking thru glass".

Police say the post went up at 10:27 p.m. Monday night, which gives them a better idea of what happened leading up to the moment police found Shiel's naked body Tuesday morning at the Oakland City Park.

Shiel was found riddled with bullets about 7.5 hours after last being seen by a friend.

Shiel's mother, Angela Shiel, says her daughter's friend said the two were together around 11:30 p.m., because the two were supposed to go to a party.

That friend said Bridget got into her car and said she'd be right back, but that never happened.

Detectives believe Shiel was shot to death before being dumped at the Oakland City Park.

"She didn't deserve to die this way, with no dignity, scared," Shiel said.

A day later, her stolen red Ford Fusion was discovered ditched 20 miles away from the crime scene in Stone Mountain.

Shiel's grandmother Beverly Toole raised Bridget in Washington D.C. before sending her to live in metro Atlanta with her mother.

"I can't imagine it and feels so bad about what she was feeling. How afraid she must have been how terrified she had to have been," Toole.

Toole says whoever killed her granddaughter could very possibly do it to someone else, and it was a horrific way to die and a very mean way to take someone's life.

Shiel's friend Morgan Webster said, "She needs justice so she can rest. I just want her to rest."

The Shiel family is raising funds for funeral services through a GoFundMe page.
