ATLANTA — Georgia officials said they are prepared for the possibility of icy roads Tuesday.
Gov. Brian Kemp announced he will postpone the opening of state offices for two hours.

Multiple school districts and colleges are delaying opening Tuesday, including Atlanta Public Schools, and Towns, Union, Forsyth and Habersham County schools.

Several vaccination sites will shut down as well.
The Jim R. Miller Park vaccination site in Cobb County will also be closed Tuesday. Those who had vaccines scheduled will be contacted by the Department of Health.
All DeKalb County Board of Health locations, including the testing site in East Atlanta (Greater Piney Grove) and vaccination sites in Doraville and Stonecrest will operate on a delayed schedule.
Hours of operation for all health centers and COVID-19 vaccination sites will be 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Hours of operation for the Greater Piney Grove COVID-19 testing site will be 11:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Fannin and Gilmer County vaccination sites will delay opening.
The Georgia Department of Transportation started brining interstates, state routes, bridges and overpasses Monday afternoon in northern parts of the state.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said heavy rain moving through north Georgia Monday night may cause patchy black ice on roads Tuesday morning.
GDOT crews said they will focus mainly on roadways in Union, Towns, Lumpkin, White and Dawson counties.
