Discussing the election operations for Tuesday, Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger said statewide polls close around 7 p.m. and he expects most of the results to be available soon after, though smaller counties may take until about 10 p.m.

When asked about Georgia’s preparations for election day, Raffensperger joked that the state was “battle-tested,” and said it was his office’s job, as well as election workers’, to ensure the election is secure and accurate.

Regarding reports of threats at polling locations, Raffensperger said they were “of Russian origin.”

“The Russians are not our friends, anyone who thinks they are has been misled,” he said, before ending the briefing.

“There have been four total sites identified as having received a bomb threat through the 9-1-1 system, all of which have been deemed non-credible.   Fulton County Schools PD is coordinating with local law enforcement.”
