ATLANTA — Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and members of the state’s Elections Division were set to hold a post-Election Day briefing on Wednesday morning but the event has since been postponed.
Raffensperger was expected to be at the Georgia Capitol to go over election results as final tallying continues.
A spokesman for the Secretary of State’s Office told Channel 2′s Justin Gray that the briefing would be postponed until Thursday.

On Tuesday night, Raffensperger said former President Donald Trump had carried the state, earning its 16 Electoral College votes and pushing him closer to his eventual win for the White House and beating Vice President Kamala Harris.
The next step in the Georgia electoral process is vote certification.
Here’s what those steps are, and when the deadlines are, according to the Secretary of State’s Office:
- Provisional ballot documentation due by Nov. 6 at 9 a.m.
- Deadline for provisional voter documentation due by Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.
- Deadline for UOCAVA ballot receipt due by Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.
- Absentee ballot cure deadline due by Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.
- Deadline for county certifications of returns by Nov. 12 at 5 p.m.
- Deadline to request a recount for November General Election due by Nov. 14 at 5 p.m.
- Risk limiting audit for November general election to be conducted Nov. 14 and Nov. 15
- Last day of vote certification for federal and statewide races on Nov. 22
