ATLANTA — Gov. Brian Kemp is making sure all University of Georgia fans are bleeding red and black in a newly announced proclamation day.

In a tweet, the governor announced that Monday, January 9, 2023 will officially be ‘Hunker Down Day’ in honor of the Colllege Football National Championship.

Kemp along with First Lady Marty and their children will be wearing red and black on game day to show support for the Dawgs.
The Georgia Bulldogs will face off against the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

In honor of ‘Hunker Down Day’, Kemp is asking all Georgians to wear red and black on Monday, as the Dawgs were rewarded on the day of their first title in over 40 years.
With a new breed of bulldogs ready to take the field, Kemp references Larry Munson as he once said, “hunker it down, one more time,”, the proclamation states.
