ATLANTA — A strong cold front moves into north Georgia Sunday night into Monday morning, bringing with it a band of heavy rain and the chance for isolated embedded storms.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Ashley Kramlich says we’re not expecting any severe weather, but some strong wind gusts will be possible.
Heavy rain will move into northwest Georgia after midnight and then through the rest of the area between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Temperatures will fall rapidly behind the front.
We start Monday morning in the 50s and then fall to the 30s by the afternoon.
Winds will continue to stay breezy.
Afternoon wind chills will likely be in the 20s for the afternoon.
There’s a chance of some leftover snow showers in the north Georgia mountains in the afternoon, but no accumulation is expected.
From Tuesday to Thursday it will be dry and cold with morning lows in the 20s and wind chills in the teens.
Highs will struggle to make it to the 40s.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologists are monitoring the potential for a winter weather system to impact north Georgia later this week into the weekend.
