ATLANTA — Hundreds packed a southwest Atlanta street Sunday night to remember Kenny Hurst, a father of six who was shot to death. Members of the community who attended the event had a strong message for the shooters involved.
Two men were wounded in the exchange of gunfire in which Hurst died. Family members say they received little information from Atlanta police.
"He got all these kids and all this family and we just left with no answers why we just want to know why. he didn't harm no one he'd give you the shirt off his back if he could," Hurst's fiance, Kenyetta Turner, said.
Everyone who attended the vigil knew Hurst as "Kenny Boo."%

Hundreds raised candles high to remember the 32-year-old victim, and prayed for justice in his case.
Hurst's mother hopes her son's slaying encourages others to rise up against the never-ending violence.
"Peace. No more violence. Let something good come out of it," Hurst's mother, Janice Moore, said.
