ATLANTA — What was once Hurricane Irma is now a depression and it is moving out of Georgia.
But it brought bands of heavy rain and wind to metro Atlanta on Monday.
Atlanta police said they started seeing flooding around Peachtree Creek and Nancy Creek as waters continue to rise with the constant rain from Irma.
Heavy Rain
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns said the metro has seen about 1.5 inches of rain, with slightly higher amounts of about 2.2 inches south of Interstate 20.
