For decades, thousands gathered at Underground Atlanta to watch the Peach Drop.
Atlanta hasn’t hosted the Peach Drop for the past three years. In 2019, it was the first time the 30-year tradition did not happen. Then in 2020 and 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the event.
The event was moved in 2017 to Woodruff Park but returned to Underground Atlanta in 2018.

Historically, well-known artists have performed at the New Year’s celebration.
Before last year’s was canceled due to a surge in the Omicron variant, R&B singer Ashanti and rap group Goodie Mob were scheduled to perform.
The city and its Live Nation partners haven’t announce which artists are scheduled to perform this year.
