ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has learned that the James “Sloppy” Floyd building in downtown Atlanta had to be evacuated because of a threatening letter.
The Georgia State Patrol confirmed the incident, saying:
“A threatening letter was received in one of the offices and they are taking precautionary measures to evacuate the building.”
The Georgia Senate Republicans tweeted about the threat Thursday afternoon saying the building “houses thousands of state employees.”
The James Floyd Building, also known as the Twin Towers, is being evacuated due to a threatening letter received by one of the facility offices today.
