ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a carjacking overnight that happened to a Lyft driver near an apartment complex.
Atlanta police Capt. Reginald Moorman confirms to Channel 2 Action News that the carjacking happened in the area of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard and Lucile Avenue just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police are still looking for the Lyft driver's 2018 white Hyundai Elantra with tag RIH-3119.
It is the third time a carjacking has happened in the area this week. Two students were carjacked within five days of each other in the same apartment complex.

The Lyft driver had just dropped off a rider at the Campustown Apartments around 2:30 a.m. when he stopped on a street nearby.
He said four young men pulled up in a burgundy sedan.
“They rolled up on me from this way and jumped out. One drew down on me and had a gun,” the driver, Imani Dawson, said.
Another had a crowbar and the group threatened to shoot him and beat him, so he gave up his wallet and his car.
At first, the driver said he thought about fighting back.
“I really wanted to fight back but dude had that gun so close to my face. I didn’t want to get shot,” the driver said.
Officers believe this case might be related to the two other carjackings of Morehouse students.
