ATLANTA — A man has died after the kayak he was in overturned in a lake in southwest Atlanta, according to fire rescue officials.
Atlanta Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to a lake on Benjamin E. Mays Dr. SW on Sunday morning in reference to a man possibly drowning.

After a search, crews were able to locate the kayak and the man’s body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The man’s identity has not yet been released. Police said he was approximately 34 year old and they do not suspect foul play.
Fire Rescue officials say the investigation into what led up to the man’s drowning is still ongoing.
