ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating an overnight crash that left a man riding an electric scooter dead.
Officers say they were called to N. Highland Ave. near Adair Ave. just before midnight on Tuesday night.

The man riding the scooter was pronounced dead on the scene. His identity has not been released.
Investigators say he was riding the scooter on N. Highland Ave. when he lost control, drove into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with a Toyota Rav4.

The Rav4 driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police.
It’s unclear if that driver will be charged.
