ATLANTA — Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a man in a car in northeast Atlanta.

Officers received a call around 1 a.m. about someone shot at the intersection of Rankin Street and Boulevard.

A witness told officers he became suspicious when the driver didn't drive off at the green light and went to see if he was OK. That's when he found blood inside the car and noticed the driver had been shot.

Police said the victim had been shot twice.

Investigators believe the shooter was either inside the car or fired shots from the outside.

Crime scene investigators found two shell casings at the scene.

Investigators will be back at the scene later Wednesday to look for surveillance cameras and witnesses who can help solve this murder.
