ATLANTA — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in northwest Atlanta.

A man was killed on Friday at the Sierra Ridge Apartments on Delmar Lane.

Police said the incident occurred around 4:40 p.m.

A man in his 20s was found dead in the back of a car.

“It appears there may have been two other males who walked up on them and shot multiple times,” Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton said.

Hampton said police are working with the driver of the car to get more information.

Police said although the apartment complex was full of people, not many are willing to tell police what they saw.

“We’re hoping that we can get someone to come forward and give us some information. It definitely is a challenge, but we’re going to need some cooperation,” Hampton said.

On Monday, a man was killed and another was shot.

Police have not determined if the two killings are related.

“My heart is aching and I don’t even know who the person is. I am definitely aching because we shouldn’t have to die like this. It’s senseless,” neighbor Patricia Newell said.
