ATLANTA — Police say a man who did not wear a face mask was pistol-whipped by an employee at a metro Atlanta Family Dollar.
Police said they were called to the Family Dollar on Marin Luther King Dr. on Tuesday for reports of a man bleeding from the head.

Police said the victim said he came to the store to shop but wasn’t wearing a mask. The victim said an employee confronted him and the two men got into an argument.
The victim said the employee pulled out a handgun, tried to push him out of the store and eventually hit him over the head with the gun.

Police said the victim had a visible wound to his head. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police are reviewing surveillance video of the incident.
It’s unclear if any charges will be filed.
