ATLANTA — Police say a man riding in a car on Sidney Marcus Boulevard was shot and killed early Monday morning.
Police said officers responded to reports of a man shot on the Buford Highway Connector at Sidney Marcus Boulevard around 1:30 a.m.

Officers found a man inside the car with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police learned that the man was a passenger in a car traveling on Georgia 400 when someone in another vehicle started shooting.
The victim has not been identified. Police are still working to learn the identity of the shooter.
This is the latest in a string of highway shootings this year in metro Atlanta. It’s also one of numerous shootings that left at least five people dead and dozens injured over the past weekend.
