ATLANTA — Police are investigating a shooting at a Chevron gas station on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in northwest Atlanta Tuesday morning.
Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach was at the scene where investigators said a 33-year-old man walked out of the gas station at about 4:40 a.m.
That is when they said a black Jaguar pulled into the gas station and two men began shooting at him. The victim was shot in the stomach and walked across the street, where he collapsed outside a Checkers restaurant.
Police said the victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he is currently in surgery.
They said the victim is not cooperating and police are still working to identify a possible motive in the shooting.
Police said they believe the victim gave a false name upon their arrival.
