ATLANTA — MARTA police are investigating a deadly stabbing on a downtown Atlanta station platform.
MARTA officials told Channel 2 Action News that on Monday at 8 a.m., officers received reports of a person stabbed at the Five Points Station in downtown Atlanta.

When officers arrived, they located a man who had been stabbed on the northbound platform. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
Police confirmed that there is a suspect in custody. That person’s identity has also not been released.

Channel 2′s Tom Regan was at the station Monday, where witnesses filmed video of paramedics giving the victim CPR.
Terrified witnesses called police, who rushed in and found the victim lying in a pool of blood on the platform.
“It’s like a horror movie for somebody to do somebody like that,” MARTA rider Lorenzo Young said. “It’s a shame for anyone to experience anything like that.”
Another rider said the attack made her feel scared, like she needed to watch her back.
The protect passengers, MARTA said it’s officers patrol stations, trains and busses 24/7. MARTA also has thousands of security cameras throughout the transit system that are monitored at the integrated operations center.
The stabbing remains under investigation.
