ATLANTA — For several days in mid-January, MARTA will be putting its streetcar services to a halt for emergency repairs.
According to the transit agency, streetcar services will be suspended from Jan. 13, 2025 to Jan. 17 so Georgia Power can make emergency repairs on Carnegie Way.
While the repair work is underway, MARTA shuttle vans, which will be wrapped to look like the streetcar, will give rider services along the normal streetcar route.
Additionally, while the five days of work from Georgia Power is happening, City of Atlanta contractors and utility companies will use the suspension to perform other necessary repairs near the tracks, MARTA said in a statement.
The agency said service should resume on Jan. 18, 2025 at 8:15 a.m.
