ATLANTA — MARTA announced Tuesday that they will hold their first job fair of the year on Thursday, where hopeful rail operators, bus operators or journeyman bus technicians can see how they fare in the application process.
According to the agency, MARTA is offering new employees sign-on bonuses and pay starting at $20 per hour, depending on which position you apply for.
The job fair will be held at MARTA headquarters across fro the Lindbergh Center rail station on Piedmont Road in Atlanta from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The agency said they’re offering the sign-on bonus to CDL bus operators and journeyman bus technicians.

MARTA is hiring for both full-time and part-time operators on their buses and rails, while journeyman bus technicians can be as young as 18.
To qualify as as bus or rail operator, MARTA said you:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have current Class C (regular) license
- Must pass physical exam and ability test, and drug/alcohol screening
To qualify as a journeyman bus technician, you:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have current Class C (regular) license
- Must have completed auto, transit bus, diesel, or maintenance programs, or have three or more years of comparable work experience
