ATLANTA — MARTA bus routes are resuming service on a phased schedule in the metro Atlanta area, after a major shutdown from icy conditions which began Friday.
On Saturday, the transit agency told Channel 2 Action News that some routes had already resumed work on essential bus routes.
According to MARTA, buses on the 5, 6, 8, 15, 19, 39, 40, 51, 60, 73, 78, 83, 89, 94, 95, 107, 110, 111, 117, 121, 123, 153, 172, 181, 186, 191, 193, 194 and 196 routes are running again and rail service is operating as scheduled.
Currently, MARTA advises that:
- MARTA rail service will operate as scheduled.
- MARTA streetcar service will resume as road conditions improve and trackway is free of ice.
- MARTA Mobility service will provide pre-booked life-sustaining medical trips only from 8 a.m. – noon and resume all paratransit trips at noon with the first available reservation time of 1 p.m.
