ATLANTA — With how frigid it has been outside the last week or so, here is something that would definitely help warm you up: a winning Mega Millions ticket.
Tuesday night’s drawing was for a whopping $565 million and no one won. The next drawing will have a jackpot of $640 million.
In Tuesday’s drawing, there were 1,945,697 winning tickets at all prize levels, including five that matched the five white balls to win the game’s second-tier prize, which is worth $1 million. One of those five winning tickets was purchased in Georgia, according to Mega Millions.
The jackpot has been rolling over since it was last won on Oct. 14, when tickets sold in California and Florida shared a $502 million prize.

The largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever won was $2.04 billion in November. The winner bought the lucky Powerball ticket in Southern California.
