ATLANTA — People said their final goodbyes to the President and General Manager of Tyler Perry Studios on Saturday.
A memorial for Steve Mensch was held at the Tara Theatre in northeast Atlanta.
Mensch died in a plane crash in Florida on Dec. 6 at the age of 62.

Channel 2 spoke to some of the people who knew him and attended his service.
“I don’t think you could find a bigger champion for Georgia’s film industry than Steve Mensch. He really built what we have today,” Kelsey Moore said.
Mensch is credited with helping to get Georgia’s film tax credit approved by lawmakers.
He was also instrumental in the creation of the Georgia Film Academy.
