‘Menstrual Renaissance’: Beyonce concert to feature free feminine products for attendees

ATLANTA — At an upcoming Beyonce concert in Atlanta, those in attendance will have a chance to help test pilot a program for menstrual products.

Sponsored by the Honey Pot Co., a feminine care brand headquartered in Atlanta, and Strapt Vending, a vending solutions provider, the Mercedes-Benz stadium will feature the period products via more than a dozen high-tech vending machines.

The Honey Pot Company is able to provide free feminine care via vending machines in partnership with Strapt Vending.

On top of having the products available, the company installed and managed by Strapt Vending said their vending machines will have products available free of charge.

In a release about the pilot program, the test could help kickstart what is called a “menstrual renaissance” in America, accompanying Beyonce’s Renaissance tour stop in Atlanta.

The move to make feminine and menstrual products free of charge is in line with what Honey Pot Co. and Strapt Vending call a debate over making menstrual products free by law at a federal level.

Strapt Vending said the U.S. “lags behind European countries like Scotland who have piloted free nationwide menstrual products in recent years.”
