ATLANTA — Associated Credit Union and the Associated Credit Union Foundation hosted a summer football camp for Atlanta area students from Wildnerness Works.
The camp was held at Cabbagetown Park in the historic Cabbagetown District and featured University of Georgia football star and All-American defensive back Malaki Starks.
From morning until noon, the camp partnered Starks with community members to coach campers in drills and flag football.

Through the camp, 30 students had the opportunity to play together and meet the recent True Freshman All-American.
“Associated Credit Union is honored to partner with Malaki to help serve our communities and members,” ACU Chief Executive Officer and President C. Lin Hodges said in a statement. “We are excited for Malaki to provide the Wilderness Works campers with an inspiring message of resilience, hope and faith in the fun environment of a football camp.”

ACU and Starks partnered with Wilderness Works, an Atlanta nonprofit focused on giving at-risk youth opportunities to have outdoor adventures and learn to cultivate trusting relationships, build their self-esteem, and find their courage to make positive decisions.
