Michaels looks to hire more than 15,000 holiday workers

ATLANTA — Michaels is looking to fill hundreds of thousands of positions ahead of the holiday season.

It is hosting a seasonal hiring event from noon to 4 p.m. next Saturday, Sept.17 inside its stores.

The arts and crafts retailer says it is looking to fill more than 250 positions in Atlanta, and more than 400 throughout Georgia.

Job seekers are welcome to apply online or in person during the in-store events, where interviews for qualified candidates will take place.

The company says that last year, more than half of its seasonal workers transitioned into regular jobs.

Some of the perks that Michaels offers to its seasonal employees are flexible hours and a 30% discount.
