A MARTA spokeswoman said a man fell off the platform on the southbound track around 7:40 a.m. She said the rails were de-energized.
A passenger who was on the train at the time of the incident told Channel 2′s Kristen Holloway that a man jumped in front of a train. The witness said he could see the man’s legs under the train.
“I guess he jumped in front of the train and when they made us get off the train, she said someone was on the tracks, but she didn’t say she ran him over,” one witness said.
