ATLANTA — A mother of two was killed and the good Samaritan who tried to help her lost his leg after a driver slammed into a crash scene on the interstate.
Now, the man who lost his leg is wondering why no one has been charged in the deadly crash.
Channel 2′s Tom Jones talked to Darryus Jackson, who said his life was changed forever, but his name never even ended up in the police report.

Jackson said he got out of his car to try to help two women whose car had crashed in the HOV lane of I-75 near Cleveland Ave. on Sept. 4.
“I’m always helping people, so it was just in me to help,” Jackson said.
While he was standing outside, the driver of another car slammed into them, killing one of the women and causing Jackson to lose one of his legs.
“As I turned around the truck was right here. I ain’t have no time to jump out of the way,” Jackson recalled.
He said both he and the woman who died where thrown into the air and across the expressway.

Police told Jones that no charges are pending against the driver, but they are gathering more information.
“I’m thinking he’s in jail, and I was gonna have to go to court,” Jackson said. “If you’re saying he’s the suspect at fault for the situation, then you should charge him.”
Jackson says that because someone lost their life, police need to conduct a full investigation.
Police told Jones that they are trying to find out why Jackson is not mentioned in any of their reports on the incident after Jones received video of Jackson talking with officers.
